Permissions were granted this week by Greenwich Council to convert the Dutch House on Sidcup road into a multi-site venture.

Mock image of Dutch HouseIt will be zoned into several areas. Half of the ground floor of the building will remain a pub / restaurant and the remainder will provide a retail shop for the Builder’s merchant that plans to take the other half. The area to the right of the building will also provide the builders’ yard with a covered area and to the left of the building will be customer parking for the builders’ merchant, the pub and some residential flats. It is planned that the upper floor will be retained as residential flats with two additional units proposed for the second floor loft space.

Plans for Dutch HouseThis has been a much loved building locally for many years however it is sadly neglected and in parts, derelict. It has been victim of numerous incidents of vandalism and anti-social behaviour. We understand the South London builders merchants; Floyds are behind the development who are working with the freeholder on the development.

There is not a clear timeline as yet but we will keep you posted on developments.
